substrate color and surface textures are unaffected, with little or
no gloss created. Slight darkening may occur on some adobe, limestone,
or very dense surfaces. Test surface to be treated to ensure desired
results. Surfaces treated with ChimneySaver WB may be painted with
many oil based paints. Test to ensure adhesion and compatibility. |

LIMITATIONS:
Surface and air temperatures should be a minimum of 40 degrees F.
and a maximum of 110 degrees F. for two hours following application.
This product is not suitable for use on asphalt surfaces. Do not apply
to frozen or frost covered surfaces. Application must be to clean,
sound, and relatively dry surfaces (can be applied to slightly damp
surfaces). Do not apply to wet or water saturated surfaces and/or
when rainfall is expected within six hours unless adequate protection
with a polyethylene film, or its equivalent, is provided. Do not apply
to painted or glazed brick or tiles. This product is not intended
for below grade use.

DIRECTIONS
FOR USE:
Surface Conditions: Surfaces to which ChimneySaver WB is applied
must be free from dirt, dust, stains, efflorescence, coatings or other
foreign materials which might interfere with penetration of water
repellent. Repair loose or missing mortar joints and allow to dry
before application of water repellent. Repair and/or replace damaged
masonry units. Allow new masonry and concrete to cure at least 28
days before applying water repellent. |
APPLICATION:
Vertical: Agitate well before using. Test small area of surface
before starting general application to assure desired results and
coverage rates. Apply from bottom up using a low pressure sprayer
(10-25 psi) with a fan type nozzle, or by roller with a minimum 3/8"
nap. Flood surface until excess runs down 6 to 8 inches below spray
or roller pattern. For maximum penetration and desired coverage rates,
a wet on wet application is recommended; retreat within minutes after
initial application. A wet treated surface may be agitated with a
soft bristle scrub brush to ensure more even distribution and greater
penetration.
Protect all adjacent glossy surfaces, paint films, windows, plant
life, asphalt-based materials and all other non-targeted surfaces
from overspray and rundown. Immediately remove overspray from non-targeted
areas with soap and water. Thoroughly rinse plant life to remove overspray. |
Horizontal:
Agitate well before using. To ensure proper coverage, measure surface
before treating and apply product with low pressure spray or deep
nap roller. Pretest to measure material penetration rates. Apply a
flood coat using sufficient material so that the surface remains wet
for a few minutes before final absorption occurs. If additional material
is required to reach desired coverage rate, a wet on wet application
can be used. Avoid puddling or ponding; brush or broom to spread material
to more porous area. If applicable, block all drains and use absorptive
coverings to contain runoff of excess material. To avoid unnecessary
clean-up, use soap and water to remove overspray as soon as possible.
Caution: Over-application of material may cause darkening of surface. |

UP: Thoroughly rinse spray equipment with clean water. Wash rollers
with soap and water. Rinse thoroughly. |
HEALTH
AND SAFETY
ChimneySaver WB is water-based and does not contain combustible or
flammable, volatile organic solvents. Eye and skin irritation are
greatly reduced. Overspray on non-targeted areas can be easily removed
with soap and water.
Respiratory protection is not generally required during normal use
and handling. The need for respiratory protection should be evaluated
if material is sprayed in heated or poorly ventilated areas. The use
of protective gloves and chemical splash goggles is recommended. For
additional information, consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for
this product.
Caution: Accumulation of product on ladders, scaffolding, roofs
etc. may result in a slippery surface. Prevent overspray from accumulating.
Clean all surfaces as necessary. |
